ley, McCulloh, Devecmon, Neale, Benton, Poole, Criswell,
Gore, Dawson, Horsey, King, Hammond—65.

The House took up for consideration the Order of the Day,
being,

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Frederick and
Pennsylvania Line Railroad Company;

Said bill being upon its second reading,

Mr. Knott moved to postpone the further consideration of
the bill, and make it the Order of the Day for Monday next,
March 11th,

Pending the consideration of which,

Mr. King moved that the House do now adjourn until to-
morrow morning at eleven o'clock;
Which was decided in the negative.

Mr. Thomas, Chairman Committee on Ways and Means,
(the rules being suspended,) reported with amendments the
bill entitled, an Act to pay certain outstanding debts against
the National road.

The House then resumed the consideration of the bill,

The question being, upon the motion of Mr. Knott to post-
pone and make it the Order of the Day for Monday, March
11th,

Mr. Knott moved a call of the House.

Mr. Bishop moved that the House do now adjourn,

Which was decided in the negative. .

The question then recurring upon the motion of Mr. Knott,

A call of the House was ordered.

son Davis, of Baltimore city, Waltemeyer, Feig, Bixler,
Kit's, Aydelott, Gordy, Nelson, Whiteford, Wilson, Spicer,
McCulley, Bruce, Devecmon, Carmichael, Neale, Benton,
Poole, Criswell, Gore, Dawson, Horsey, King, Hammond--66.

Upon the call of the roll,
On motion of Mr. Ford,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
On motion of Mr. Evans,

The further consideration of the bill was postponed and
