ciary, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to amend
the 43d section of Article 3 of the Code of Public Local
Laws relating to summoning jurors in Baltimore county,
Which was read a first time.

Also, reported favorably, without amendment, the Sen-
ate bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Quaker Neck
Wharf Company, in Quaker Neck, Kent county, on Chester
River.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act for the relief of Benjamin
Frost, alias Waters.

Also, the bill entitled an Act to authorize Acts of Assem-
bly, passed "at the present session of the General Assembly, to
be repealed and to make valid such repeal,

Which were severally read a second time.

Also, with amendments, the Senate bill entitled, an Act to
protect Churches and Church property and parsonages, and
to punish trespasses on the same;

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Nicolai, Chairman Committee on Corporations report-
ed favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate an Institu-
tion in the city of Baltimore, to be called the Bank of Colla-
teral Deposits;

Mr. Neilson, from Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money sufficient
to procure a full length portrait of His Excellency Governor
Thomas Swann, to be placed in the Executive Chamber;

Which were severally read a first time.

Mr. Neilson from Select Committee reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to provide for the erection of a new Mary-
land State Penetentiary, and to dispose of the present Mary-
land State Penetentiary,

Which was read a first time,

And made the order of the day for Thursday, March 7th;

Mr. Beck, from Select Committee, reported favorably with-
out amendment the Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize
the County Commisioners of Kent county, to convey to Isaac
Parsons, and others of said county, a portion of old Crews
Landing near the Mouth of Sassafras River;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Galvert, from Select Committee, reported favorably
without amendment the Senate bill entitled, an Act to make
valid the Acts and proceedings of the town Commissioners of
Rockville, Montgomery county;

Which was read a second time.
