Also, favorably upon a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec-
tion 45 of Article 29 of the Code of Public General Laws
entitled, "Courts," and to re-enact the same with an amend-
ment ;
Mr. Knott, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an Act
to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws authorizing the Judge of the Superior Court to employ
a stenographer, passed on the 7th March, 1864, chapter 280,
to re-enact the same with amendments, and to insert addi-
tional provisions for the appointment of stenographer for the
Court of Common Pleas and the Orphans' Court of the city
of Baltimore;
Mr. Smith from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 13 of Arti-
cle 51 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, "Justices
of the Peace," and to re-enact the same, with amendments,
Mr. Nicolai from the Committee on Corporations reported
favorably a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Greens-
borough Fruit Growing Manufacturing and Agricultural
Association,
Which were severally read a first time.
Also, reported, without amendment, the bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Frederick and Pennsylvania Line
Railroad Company.
Mr. Bixler, Chairman Committee on Education, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower
the Faculty of the Baltimore City College to confer Literary
Degrees.
Mr. Nicolai, from the Select Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act entitled, an Act
to prohibit the granting of licenses for the sale of spiritous
or fermented liquors or lager beer at or near Woodbury Fac-
tory, in Baltimore county, passed March 7, 1864, chapter 206.
