fermented liquors within the Borough of Northeast, in Cecil
county, passed at January session, 1864,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Kerr, from Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act, to protect the citizens of Talbot and
Dorchester counties from depredations committed by persons
engaged iu dredging for oysters in the waters of this State,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Nicolai, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably, without amendment, the Senate bill en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Academy of Sciences of the
city or Baltimore.

Also, the Senate bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Clarks-
burg Lodge number one hundred of the Independent Order
of Odd-Fellows.

Also, the Senate bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Maryland Hotel Company, in the city of Annapolis.

Mr. Boswell, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably, without amendment, Senate bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Traveller's Life and Accident In-
surance Company of Baltimore,

Which were severally read a second time.

Mr. Nelson, from Select Company, reported without
amendment, Senate bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the
granting of license for the sale of spiritous or iermented
liquors or lager beer at or near Fallston, in Harford county,
in the State of Maryland,

Which was read a second time.

The joint resolutions authorizing the Treasurer to issue the
bonds of the State to any person who desires to receive them
in payment of warrants of the Comptroller,

Being on their second reading,

On motion of Mr. Stevens,
Were referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
Act to repeal section 17 of Article 53 of the Code of Public
General Laws entitled, "Landlord and Tenant," and to re-
enact the same, with amendments,

Which was read a second time, and by special orde'r a
third time,

And passed by yeas and nays as follow:
