Mr. Burthe proposed the following amendment:

Strike out the 14th section;

Mr. Clarke proposed the following amendment:

Section 18, line 2, strike out all after the word "railroad"
to the word "shall:"
Which was adopted.
Mr. Carmichael proposed the following amendment:

At end of section 20, add, and it shall be the duty of the
said company, to provide a guard or watchman with proper
signals at any point or points, where said railroad may cross
any other railroad, to provide against collisions, which may
otherwise occur between trains on the different roads.

Mr. Neal proposed the following amendment:

Strike out the word "roads," in 15th line of 11th section,
and "or routes;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Clatke proposed the following amendment:

Section 23, strike out all after the word "company," in
line 8, to the word "upon/' in 11th line;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Burche proposed the following amendment:

"Strikeout section 23rd;"

Which was rejected.

Mr. Clarke proposed the following amendment:

Section 24, strike out all after the word "railroad," to the
word "not;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Burche moved to strike out the word "twenty," and
insert ''tea;"

Which was rejected.

Mr. Williams proposed the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "from," in the third line of
ty 11th section, to the words "Frederick city," in the 4th
line;

Which was rejected.
