By the House of Delegates of Maryland:
Resolved, That any legislation which is in its tendency
calculated to weaken the respect of any portion of our com-
munity, for the Christian Sabbath is fraught with danger,
not only to the common interests and happiness of the people
of Maryland, hut of the nation.
On motion of Mr. Neale,
The rules being further suspended,
Ordered That Mr. Welch have leave of absence till Tues-
day next for the purpose of visiting his family.
