Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 68 of Article
26 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Corporations,"
and re-enact the same, with amendments.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Mutual
Coal and Iron Company.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the German
Savings Bank of Maryland.

Mr. Boswell, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
United Hotel Proprietors and Malting Company.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Midlothian
Coal and,Iron Company of Allegany county.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Hunting-
don Passenger Railroad Company,

Which were severally read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Jones,
The rules being suspended,

Ordered, That a Committee of three be appointed to re-
ceive and present to the two Houses the Committee of minis-
ters and laymen, who desire to appear before the General
Assembly.

The hour of 1 1/4 o'clock having arrived the Senators of
Maryland appeared upon the floor of the House of Delegates,
when,

Mr. Jones introduced to the General Assembly the Rev.
Doctor Fuller, of Baltimore, who, on behalf of the commit-
tee from Baltimore, presented resolutions adopted "at the
large meeting of citizens opposed to the running of cars and
other desecratipns of the Christian Sabbath, held in Baltimore
on Monday evening, February 25, 1867, and ordered to be
presented to the Legislature of Maryland;" which

On motion Mr. Jones,
Were read.

The Senators and the committee of citizens from Baltimore
then retired from the Hall.

On motion of Mr. Evans,
The House took up for consideration,
The bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of 1865, chapter
174, entitled, an Act relating to the registration of voters of
the State and to enact other provisions relative to the regis-
tration of voters in lieu thereof;

Said bill being upon its second reading,
