Also, the petition of C. B. Simpson and other citizens of
Frederick county, against the passage of a law annexing a
portion of Frederick county to Carroll county;
Also, the petition of Daniel Emmert and other citizens of
Washington county, praying the modification of the license
law for District——, in Washington county; and asked to be
discharged from the further consideration of the same.
The report concurred in and committee discharged.
Also, unfavorably on the petition of the Judge of the Crim-
inal Court, and others of Baltimore city, in favor of the pas-
sage of a bill providing for the punishment of minor negroes;

Was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Clarke, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported favorably the Senate bill, without amendment, enti-
tled, an Act to authorize and direct the payment of claims
due the members and officers of the General Assembly of
1861;
