Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing a Joint Session
to receive a committee from Baltimore, of ministers and lay-
men, in reference to the Sunday Law, and concur therewith.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Also, returned the resolutions directing the Attorney-Gen-
eral to examine into the affairs of the Baltimore and Freder-
ick Turnpike Road; .

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays with proposed amend-
ments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

After the words "and whether the said Pratt Street road
has been or is now in a condition such as their charter re-
quires" insert "and whether their charter has been infringed
in any other respect;" due notice of which shall be given
said Company with specifications, and opportunity to the
said company for defense ;

Also, after the words "If he shall be of opinion that the
charter of said company in any or all of these" insert "or in
any other particular."

The amendments were adopted, and the resolutions, as
amended, were passed by yeas and nays follows:
