On motion of Mr. Bixler,
Leave was granted the Committee on Inspections to "import
a bill to regulate inspections of lumber in the city of Balti-
more.
On motion of Mr. Kerr,
Leave was. granted the Committee on Judiciary, to report
a bill to repeal section 9, chapter 181, Laws of Maryland,
passed at the session of 1865, and re-enact the same with
amendments.
Also, leave was granted the Dorchester and Caroline coun-
ty delegations to report a bill to legalize the shooting of wild
fowl from sink boats upon the waters surrounding Hooper's
Island, in Dorchester county.
On motion of Mr. Hutchins,
Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to introduce
a bill to reduce the fees of the Sheriff of Frederick county;
On motion of Mr. Knott,
Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an Act to add certain additional sections
to Article 26, of the Public General Laws of this State, re-
lating to corporations in order to provide for the organization
of Universities Colleges, Hospitals and Asylums;
On motion of Mr. Evans,
Leave was granted the Cecil delegation to introduce a bill
to add new sections to chapter 151, of the Act of 1862, enti-
tled, an Act to incorporate the President and Commissioners
of the village of Rising Sun, in Cecil county;
Mr. Calvert submitted the following joint resolutions:
Resolution .directing the Comptroller to adjust the account
of the State School tax for 1865, with Prince Georges county
WHEREAS, The County Commissioners of Prince Georges
county, failed to levy the State School tax for the year 1865,
and whereas, the State Superintendent of Public Instruction
in the distribution of the State School tax for 1865, appor-
tioned to Prince Georges county, the sum of fifteen thous-
and two hundred and twelve dollars and sixty-two cents, no
part of which amount has been paid, because of the failure
to levy as aforesaid, therefore,
Resolved ly the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Comptroller be authorized and directed to adjust the account
of said county, by charging it with the sum of eleven thous-
and four hundred and thirty nine dollars and sixty-two cents,
being the amount of School tax, which should have been
