Mr. Whitaker presented a memorial of 212 citizens of the
town of Havre de Grace, remonstrating against the erection
of any boom or booms, below the railroad bridge at said town.

Also, a memorial of 80 citizens of Cecil county, against
the erection of booms in the Susquehanna river;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Dennis presented the memorial against the repeal of
the law in relation to funerals, by Hamilton Easter & Co.,
Wm. Devries & Co., Samuel Bevan & Co., and 40 others;

Also, the memorial against the repeal of the law in rela-
tion to funerals, by Joshua Vansant, George H. Reese, Jas.
E. Hooper and others;

Also, the memorial against the repeal of the law in rela-
tion to funerals, by Joshua Royston, John A. Foard, Sam'l.
Parkhurst, Jr., & Co., and seventy others;

Also, the memorial against the repeal of the law in rela-
lation to funerals, by Clabaugh & Hains George Brook, C.
H. Woodside and 120 others;

Which were read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Burch presented the petition of the stockholders of
the Union Plank or Turnpike Road Company, and other cit-
izens of Montgomery county, praying that no amendment to
the charter of said company allowing additional toll to be
collected, will be granted;

Also, the petition of citizens of Montgomery county ,pray-
ing that the Union Plank or Turnpike Road Company may
not be amended so as to allow the charging of additional
tolls on said road;

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

Mr. Kerr presented the petition of James Smith, J. L. Pat-
terson and others, citizens of Dorchester county, praying
the passage of an Act to authorize the Commissioners of said
county to construct a bridge over Slaughter Creek, at Gadd's
Ferry;

Also, the petition of citizens of Dorchester county, pray-
ing the passage of an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
said county to construct a bridge over Slaughter Creek, at
Gadd's Ferry;

Also, the petition of citizens of Dorchester county, pray-
ing the incorporation of the Little Choptank and Nanticoke
Steam Navigation Company; also to authorize the Commis-
sioners of said county to take stock in said company;
