Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary,
(the rules being suspended), reported favorably a bill enti-
tled, an Act to add an additional section to Article 93 of the
Code of Public General Laws of this State, to come in after
section 203 of said Article.

Mr. Nicolai, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
(the rules being yet further suspended,) reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to amend the Act of 1860, chapter 303,
entitled, an Act to carry into effect the 8th section of the Act
entitled, an Act for the promotion of Internal Improvements,
passed at December session, 1838, chapter 395, by applying
the unappropriated part of the appropriation made by said
Act for the purpose of Internal Improvements in Worcester
county, to the construction of the Worcester Railroad and
the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad ;

Which were severally read a first time.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 806, 807, 808,
809, 810, 811, 812, 813, 814, 815, 816, 817, 818, 819, 820,
821, and 822, of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
the city of Baltimore and the additional Articles adopted by
the Act of the General Assembly, passed at the session of
1860, chapter 46, the additional sections adopted by the Act
of General Assembly, passed at the session of 1864, chapter
42, the additional sections adopted by the Act of the same
session of 1864, chapter 244 and the 3d jection of the Act of
the session of 1865, chapter 46, for the establishment of a
Police Force for the city of Baltimore and to re-enact same
with amendments.

Pending the consideration of which,

Joseph Golibart, the member elect from Cecil county to fill
the vacancy occasioned by the death of the late Henry 8.
Magraw, appeared, qualified, and took his seat.

The time having expired to which the Order of the Day
was postponed.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and
The House resumed the consideration of the Police Bill;
Said bill being upon its second reading,
