ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

Being the bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 5, 6, 7, 8,
9, 10, 11 and 12, of chapter 37 of the Acts of Assembly of
January session, 1866, entitled, an Act to encourage and
facilitate immigration to the State of Maryland, and enact
other sections in the place of the sections so repealed ;

Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Smith,

It was postponed for half an hour;

And the House took up for consideration the bill entitled,
an Act to enable the Directors of the Maryland Institution
for the Instruction of the Blind to complete and render fit
for occupation the building now in course of erection in Bal-
timore county;

Which was read a second time, and,
On motion of Mr. Stevens,

curring,)

The rules were suspended,
