The fifty-first rule was then read and adopted.
The fifty-second rule was then read and adopted.
The fifty-third rule was then read and adopted.

Mr. Vickers iulsmitted the following amendment to rule
fifly-fourth:

Rule fifty-four, second line, after the word "members,"
insert "and officers;"

Determined in the affirmative.

The fifty-fourth rule as amended was then adopted.

The fifty-fifth rule was then read and adopted.

Mr. Brodwater submitted the following amendment to the
fifty-sixth rule:

Insert after the word "Secretary," in eleventh line, "or
other officers;"

Which was adopted,

The fifty-sixth rule was then read and adopted.
The fifty-seventh rule was then read And adopted.
The fifty-eight rule was then read and adopted.

Mr. Stephenson- moved to amend the fifty-ninth rule by
inserting:

Rule fifty-nine, line three, after the word "nomination,"
insert the words "to consist of five members;"
Which was adopted.

The fifty-ninth rule was then read and adopted.
The sixtieth rule was then read and adopted.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following as an additional
rule :

Rule sixty-one. "During the recess of the Legislature, the
Senate Chamber, Committee rooms and President's room
shall be under the care and control of the Secretary of the
Senate;"

Which was read and adopted.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the re-
port of the committee, it

Was determined in the affiirmative.

On motion by Mr. Vickers,
One hundred copies of the rules were ordered to be printed.
