delay to the members the report of the State Superintendent
of Public Instruction, that the same may be speedily sent by
the members to their constituents; and further, that each
member be furnished their full quota of the same.

On motion of Mr. Israel,

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr.
Thomson, of Baltimore city, was absent from the House on
yesterday from sickness.

On motion of Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted a Select Committee to bring in a bill
to change the name of Dr. Andrew Dunlap Palmer, to An-
drew Johnson Palmer, of Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporation to report
a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 68 of Article 26 of
the Code of Public General Laws, title, "Corporations," and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary, to report
a bill entitled, an Act'to release the' surety on the bond of
William Henry Waltemeyer.

On motion of Mr. Rouzer,

Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to revise and amend the Act of
incorporation of Mechanicstown, in Frederick county, Mary-
land, passed at December session, 1831, chapter 111, with
the several supplements thereto.

On motion of Mr. Poole,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to refund to S. R. Gore, late Collector of Carroll county,
monies erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted the Committee on Ways and Means to
introduce a bill appropriating a sum of money to erect a
monument over the Federal soldiers buried in London Park
Cemetery, in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Charles,

Leave was granted the Charles, Prince George's and Saint
Mary's county delegation, to introduce a bill to amend section
14 of Article 41, relating to fishing on the Potomac river.

On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,
