Chester county praying for the passage of an Act to legalize
the shooting of wild Fowl from fish boats,

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester and Caro-
line delegations.

Mr. Neilson presented the memorial of the residents and
property holders along the Charles Street avenue against in-
creasing the capital stock of the Charles Street Avenue Com-
pany for the purpose of building a railroad.

Which was read and referred to Baltimore county delegation.

Mr. Rouzer presented the petition of John E. Martin and
others praying the passage of an Act to revise and amend the
Act of incorporation of Mechanicstown, in Frederick county,
Maryland, passed December session, 1831, chapter 111. with
the several supplements thereto,

Which was read and referred to the Frederick county dele-
gation.

The Speaker laid before the House the petition of citizens
of Frederick county, praying the passage of a law to alter or
amend the Public School Law, so as to bring them under a
similar Law to that of Baltimore city.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Poole presented the petition of nearly two hundred
citizens of Carroll county, praying for the incorporation of
the Frederick and Pennsylvania line Railroad Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

Mr. Appleman presented the remonstrance of one hundred
and thirty-two-citizens of Washington county, against any
legislative action whereby the existing restrictions for the ob-
servance of the Christian Sabbath would be relaxed;

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Sunday Law.

Mr. Neilson presented the memorial of the Judge of the
Criminal Court, Police Commissioners, State's Attorney,
Mayor of the city of Baltimore and others, in favor of the
passage of a bill providing for the punishment of min or ne-
groes;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Also, the memorial of Messrs. Samuel W. Webb, Godfrey
Dietz, A. Oudeslay. Charles E. Beatty & Co., and three hun-
dred others, in, favor of the modification of the Sunday Law;
