gage by railroad companies, and to prescribe the duties and
obligations of carriers and passengers in relation thereto.

Also, a bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article
36 of the Code of Public General Laws.

Also, a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 177 of Article
93 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled testamentary
laws, and to re-enact the same with au amendment;

Which were severally read a first time.

Also, reported back the bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 8 of Article 30 of Public General Laws entitled, "Crimes
and Punishments," to re-enact the same extending the pro-
visions of said section to Somerset county, and asked to be
discharged from the further consideration of the bill, the sub-
ject having been embraced in a bill previously reported. The
report was concurred in and the Committee discharged.

Mr. Nelson, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture,
made a favorable majority report on the bill entitled, an Act
to repeal sections 398. 399, 400, 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406,
407, 408 and 409 of the Code of Public Local Laws entitled,
"Guano."

Mr. Kerr, Chairman of the Committee on Printing, made
the following report:

The Committee on Printing to whom has been referred the
fowing order, respectfully recommend its adoption:

Ordered, That ten thousand copies of a treatise on "the
Natural Resources^ the State of Maryland," by James Hig-
gins, M. D., be printed for the use of the House.
