Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Thomas,

Ordered, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be re-
quested to inform this House what amount of money has
been placed in the hands of the Bounty Commissioners of
each county and of the city of Baltimore; and also what
amount has been placed in the hands of the Register of the
city of Baltimore and of the County Commissioners of each
. of the counties, to be used in the payment of bounties to
volunteers and drafted men, and what amount is shown by
the books in the office of the Comptroller has been disbursed
by each, of the said Boards of Bounty and County Commis-
sioners and Register of the city of Baltimore in the payment
of said bounties.

On motion of Mr. Carmichael,

Whereas, By order of this House, heretofore passed, the
use of this Hall was granted to the Hon. John Thomson
Mason for the purpose of delivering a lecture, and in conse-
quence of the inclemency of the weather and the state of
health of the lecturer, the privilege was postponed; therefore,

Ordered, That the use of the Hall be allowed to the Hon.
John Thomson Mason for the purpose aforesaid, on Tuesday
evening at 7 o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Carmichael,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill providing for the condemnation of land and
other property in the city of Annapolis for the use of the
Government of the United States for the purpose of extending
the grounds of the United States Naval Academy.

On motion of Mr. Brydon,

Leave was granted to the Allegany County delegation to
revise the charter of the town of Bloomington, with acts
amendatory thereto.

Also, leave was granted to the Allegany County delega-
tion to revise the charter of the town of Westernport, with
acts amendatory thereto.

On motion of Mr. King,

Leave was granted to the Howard and Anne Arundel dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-
enact section twenty-five of Article thirteen of Public Local
Laws for Howard county relating to Justices of the Peace
and Constables.

On motion of Mr. Pitts,
