4th. Baltimore county bounty bonds for fifty-eight ($58,-
000) dollars.
5th. Baltimore county owns about one hundred and seventy
(170) acres of land adjoining the west end of Baltimore,
which is the old joint property of the county and city of
Baltimore, and the building now oocupied by the county pau-
pers, a portion of this property lying nearest to the city
has been laid off into squares and streets, which lots the
Connty Commissioners have the power to lease, which is that
portion which the county got from the city by partition.
That portion on which the buildings are erected, and two
other pieces, about twenty five (25) acres, the County Com-
missioners by law can dispose of, provided they do not sell
at leas than cost.
5th. Baltimore county holds Baltimore city five per cent,
bonds for sixty-eight thousand five hundred ($68,500) dol-
lars, which is held by the Savings Bank of Baltimore as se-
curity for the debt due by the county to said Bank.

Mr. Thomas presented the memorial of sundry citizens
of Talbot county, praying the passage of a law to prevent
the taking of terrapins in rivers in the waters of the State
between the months of March and November in each year;

ter county delegations.
Mr. Davis, of Charles, presented the petition of James C.
Sellman and others, praying for the passage of a law to mod-
ify the present law relating to fisheries on the Potomac river;
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Steiner presented the petition of Anthony Z. Kimmell.
of Frederick county, in relation to a sum of money paid er
