the said Fund may be invested in the stock of the Wicomico
and Pocomoke Railroad Company ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Davis, of Oharleg, presented a petition of Richard B.
Rasey and George W. Carpenter, of Charles county, in re-
ference to the rights of fishing in the Patomac;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

On motion of Mr. Neale,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to report a
bill entitled an, Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county, to subscribe in behalf of said county
to the capital stock of the Queen Anne's and Kent County
Railroad Company, and to repeal chapter 165 of the laws
passed at January session, 1866.

Mr. Neilson, (the rules being suspended,) offered the fol-
lowing :

Ordered, That 10,000 copies of a treatise on "the material
resources of the State of Maryland by James Higgins, M. D.
be printed for the use of the House; wnich,

Under the rules was referred to the Committee on Printing.
On motion of Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted the Select Committee to introduce a bill
entitled, an Act legalizing dissections.

On motion of Mr. Whiteford,

Leave was granted the Select Committee to introduce a bill
entilled, an Act to repeal section 20 of Article 96 of the Code
of Public General Laws, title "weights and measures," and
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Pitts,

Leave was granted the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments to report a bill to authorize the Commissioners of the
Pocomoke River Fund to invest said fund in the stock of the
Wicomico and Pocomoke RailroadCompany.

Mr. Williams submitted the following :

Resolutions authorizing the appointment, of commissioners
to survey and estimate the cost of building a railroad from
Baltimore city to Drum Point, in Calvert county.

Which were read a first time.
