what number were purchased in the years 1865 and 1866,
what sum has been paid for said books, how many have been
distributed to the County School Commissioners of each
county, how many have been disposed of by said Commis-
sioners and what number remain on hand ?
Also, whether said books were purchased under published
proposals or private contract, the invoice price paid for same,
stating the price paid per copy and received for same from
the scholars, and whether there was a discount on the invoice
price, and if so, the amount of said discount ?
On motion of Mr. Smith,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the Aia College, Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Horse Thief Detective and Live
Stock Insurance Company of Buckeystown, Frederick county,
Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Pitts,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an Act to receive and extend an Act to
incorporate the Worcester Railroad Company, passed at the
January session of 1853, with amendnents.
Also, leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to apply the balance of the State's appropriation
to Worcester county, to the Worcester Railroad Company
and the Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Tobey,
Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to incorporate Redemption Lodge No. 1, of
the Independent Order of Good Templars of Keedysville,
Washington county, Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the town of Lutherville, in Balti-
more county.
On motion of Mr. Wampler,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Carroll Lumber
Company, for the purpose of manufacturing, vending and
dealing in all kinds of lumber.
