Mr. Coleman presented a petition of the citizens of Balti-
more in favor of the modification of the Sunday Law ;

Mr. Feig presented the petition of the citizens of Balti-
more in favor of the repeal of the Sunday, Law ;

Which were read and severally referred to Select Committee
on Sunday Law.

Mr. Shipley presented the petition of John Wethered and 46
other citizens of Baltimore county, praying the passage of an
Act to empower the Baltimore County Commissioners to lay
out a public avenue through the Almshouse property of Bal-
timore county;

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore County del-
egation,

Mr. McCulloh presented the memorial of citizens of the
Frostburg District, in Allegany county, against any action
by the Legislature whereby the existing restrictions for the
observance of the Christian Sabbath would be relaxed ;

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Sunday Law.

Mr. Rouzer presented the petition of Samuel Rhodes and
others, praying the passage of an Act to incorporate the
Trustees of the German Reformed Parsonage of Mechanics-
town, Maryland ;

Which was read and referred to the Frederick County del-
egation.

Mr. McCulley presented the petition of the Vestry of the
Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Cumberland, praying
that their church property may be exempted from taxation ;.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Whitaker presented the petition of John Maiden and
35 other citizens of Cecil county, praying an additional tax
on dogs ;

Which was read and referred to the Cecil County delega
tion.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the Religious Society
of Friends relative to the education of the colored people;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Ford presented the application of Samuel P. Storm,
to be refunded taxes overpaid into the State Treasury;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
