Mr. Vickers presented the petition of John S. Peanington
and 19 others against a tax to and in contructing the Kent
County Rail Road ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of William T. Smith
and 18 others, citizens of Kent county, for an Act to levy a
tax on Kent county, to aid in constructing the Kent County
Rail Road ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inter-
nal Improvements.

On motion by Mr. Billingslea, it was

Ordered, That the Reading Clerk of the Senate be, and he
is hereby requested, before reading the title of any bill, to
announce whether or not said bill is printed, and if so, the
number thereof, corresponding with said number on the files
of the Senate or House.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following :

Ordered, That the bill relating to the election of Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore city, be withdrawn from the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings, and be referred to a Select
committee.

On the question being put, it was
