Ordered, That the Committee on Ways and Means have
leave to sit during the sessions of this House, whenever in
their judgment the public interest may require the same.
On motion of Mr. Burche,
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
be and he is hereby authorized to issue his certificate to re-
imburse the members of the committee to select a sight for a
State building, for expenses incurred in the prosecution of
their labors.
On motion of Mr. Bruce,
Ordered, That the Annapolis Gas Company report to
this House at as early a day as possible, under oath, the
amount of dividends declared and paid by said company for
the last five years to its stockholders, and also all other pro-
fits or emoluments paid by said company to its stockholders
within the above mentioned time.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to amend the charter of the Powhatan Tribe, No.
5, Improved Order of Red Men of Baltimore city.
Also, leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill entitled, an Act to amend and alter the charter
of the city of Annapolis.
On motion of Mr. Beck,
Leave was granted the Committee on Education to intro-
duce a bill to restore to Kent county the Old School Law.
On motion of Mr. Magruder,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to amend section 177 of Article 93 of the Code of
Public General Laws.
On motion of Mr. Israel,
Leave was granted the Committee on Ways and Means to
report a bill entitled, an Act repealing the charter of the
Union Rosine Association of Baltimore city, and authorizing
the transfer of all its rights, immunities and property to the
Maryland Industrial School for Girls.
On motion of Mr. Neale,
Leave was granted the Queen Anne's and Kent County
delegation to report a bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-
enact section 92 of Article 17 of the Public Local Laws, for
Queen Anne's county, relating to justices of the peace and
constables;
