404 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS Feb. 14,

Treasurer of Maryland be and he is hereby authorized and
required to pay to George Keating, of Harford county, and
Alexander Diffy, of Baltimore county, ———————————, of
Allegany county, three aged soldiers of the war of 1812, an
annual pension of eighty dollars each, to be paid to them
quarterly, from the date of the passage of this resolution;

Which was read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

The rules being suspended, three fourths of all the mem-
bers being present and voting,

The resolutions were ordered to a second reading.
Being upon their second reading,

Mr. McCulloh submitted the following amendment:
Insert the name of Francis Hammer, of Allegany county;
Which was adopted ;

The resolution as amended was then read a second time
and. passed by yeas and nays as follow:
