On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,
Leave was granted the Frederick County Delegation to
report a bill, giving the assent of the Legislature to the Trus-
tees of the Methodist Episcopal church in the town of Jeffer-
son, to receive a sum of money bequeathed to them by Rhoda
Henry, deceased.
On motion of Mr. Thompson,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the courts of this State to decree
the sale of land in certain cases, where infants and non-resi-
dents are interested.
On motion of Mr. Jones,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to be entitled, an Act to repeal section 87, title
"insurrection," of article 30 of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled, Crimes and Punishments, and to amend and
re-enact the same, and to repeal sub-section 5, relating to per-
sons conspiring or combining to levy war against this State,
of the Act of the General Assembly, passed at January Ses-
sion, 1862, chapter 235, being an amendment of said article
30, and to re-enact the said sub-section 5, with amendments.
On. motion of Mr. Wilson,
Leave was granted the Harford County Delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend the 12th article of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, by adding thereto the following sections, em-
powering the commissioners of the town of Havre de Grace to
pave the streets of said town.
On motion of Mr. McCulley,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Wright
Mining Company of Allegany county.
On motion of Mr. Boswell,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce & bill to incorporate the Avalon Nail and Iron Com-
pany ;
Also, leave was granted the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to reimburse the State Tobacco Inspectors for
moneys paid counsel in suits against the Tobacco interest.
On motion of Mr. Aydelott,
Leave was granted the Worcester County delegation to re-
port a bill confirming the title of Worcester county to the pub-
lic road leading from Sandy Hill to Parker's Bay, and the
wharf at said bay, known as George's Island Wharf.
