218 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 14,

Quaker Neck Wharf Company, in Quaker Neck, Kent coun-
ty, on Chester River ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to punish persons
for marrying unlawfully;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was refered the bill entited, an Act to enable the Trus-
tees of Middletown Academy to transfer by deed, the said
building and grounds to the Board of School Commissioners
of Frederick county;

Reported it without amendment, and
The bill was read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to authorize
Benjamin Norris, and Elizabeth Norris his wife, to convey by
deed a tract of land to the party therein mentioned;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Vickers; from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to amend an
Act to incorporate the town of Newtown, in Worcester couu-
ty, so as to strike out section 8th of said Act, and insert an-
other section in lieu thereof;

Reported it without amendment.
On motion by Mr. Brodwater,

Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled an Act to release all
claim to and interest of the State, in certain land in Somerset
county, and to vest the same in the surviving children and
grand-children of Titus Davy, a person of color, late of said
county, deceased ;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to change the
name of Fanny Hyde Beach to that of Fanny Tabb Brewer ;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was read the first time.
