Mr. Clarko presented the petition of Israel Norris, of Car-
roll county, praying the Legislature to pass a law authorizing
the Comptroller and Treasurer to refund him monies paid
erroneously into the Treasury;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Also, the petition of F. Steifel and 145 other citizens of 1st
Election District of Baltimore county, praying the repeal of
the Sunday Law now in force in this State;

Which was read and referred to Select Committe on Sun-
day Law.

Mr. Criswell presented the petition of William Gosnell
and 65 other citizens of Carroll county against the proposed
change in the lines or boundaries of said county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
ciary.

The Speaker laid before the House the response of the
Comptroller in answer to an order of the House relative to
the cost of the Convention of 1864;

Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Wilson,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of the present
House of Delegates, that Dr. Joshua Wilson, one of the Del-
egates from Harford county, is the same person who was a
Delegate from said county in the session of 1865, and the
extra session of 1866, and whos'- name appears on the Journ-
als of those sessions as Joshua R Wilson.

On motion of Mr. Bruce,

Ordered, That the report of the Allegany and Washing-
ton county delegations in relation to the western boundary of
the State be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means,

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Leave Was granfed the Baltimore county delegation to report
a bill entitled, an Act to amend the 43d section of Article 3
of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to the summoning
of jurors in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Lankford,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to repeal section 13 of Article 51 of the Code of
Public General Laws entitled, Justices of the Peace, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled, an Act to amend section I of Article
