Leave was granted the Committee on Corporationns to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Miners' and Mechanics' Co-op-
erative Store of Franklin Mines, in Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill to incorporate the Frederick Library Association.

Mr. Neale, from a Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to add a new article to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Queen Anne's county, to build a new jail
for said county and provide means for that purpose ;

Mr. Bishop, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Howard Lodge No. 13,
Independent Order of Good Templars of Leitersburg, Mary-
land ;

Mr. Dennis, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill en-titled, an Act to incorporate the Annamessex Hotel
Company;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to prevent the interruption of
the navigation of the Little Annamessex river, in Somerset
county ;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to provide for the appointment
of an additional justice of the peace and an additional con-
stable for Lawson's District in Somerset county ;

Mr. Bixler, Chairman of Committee on Education reported
favorably the bill entitled, an Act to alter and amend an Act
entitled, an Act to add a new section to the Code of Public
General Laws to be entitled, Public Instruction, providing a
uniform system of Free Public Schools for the State of Mary-
land, and to repeal all existing laws inconsistent therewith,
passed at January session, 1865 ;
