Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading, and

Was accordingly engrossed.

On motion by Mr. Brodwater,
The Senate adjourned until to-morrow at 12 o'clock, M.

THURSDAY, February 14, 1867.

Mr, Bowie presented the memorial of Joseph J. Duvall,
praying the General Assembly to pass a law regulating the
sale of agricultural products ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agricul-
ture.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of Perkins & Co., Ealy
& Bash, Kessler & Sutro, John Rodgers & Son, Butler, Per-
rcgo & Way, Sisco Brothers, Gleninger & Co., and 40 mer-
cantile firms and large property owners of Baltimore, against
any change in the charter of the Baltimore and Potomac Rail
Road Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inter-
nal Improvements.

Mr. Stephenson presented the petition of John Dougherty,
Dr. Samuel J. Ramsay and 100 other citizens of Harford
county, against the building of booms in the Susquehanna
River ;

Which was read and referred to the committee on that
subject.

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Washington,

Ordered, That the Secretary of the Senate be directed to
take some effective measure, as soon as practicable, to pre-
serve from further injury, the highly prized historic paint-
ing that now decorates this Hall, valued not only as a work
of high artistic merit, but also for the interesting subject it
commemorates.

On motion by Mr. Kimmell,

Ordered, That the Secretary have the Committee Room,
adjoining the Senate Chamber, re-carpeted.
