Mr. Clarke, from a Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore City Grain
Elevator and Storage Company ;
Mr. Hoffhine, from a Select Committe, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to protect persons known as "huck-
sters," in Washington and Allegany counties ;
Mr. McCulley, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act to incorporate the
Mutual Insurance Company of Allegany county, passed at
December session, 1847, chapter 111, and the supplement
thereto, passed at December session, 1849, chapter 385, and
the Act amendatory thereof, passed at January session, 1860,
chapter 809;
Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Clarke, from the Select Committee, reported a bill,
entitled an Act, to provide for the restoration or the Records,
Indexes, Dockets and Papers, destroyed or injured by fire in
the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore
county; which,
On motion of Mr. Clarke,
Was referred to the Committee on Judiciary.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
Feb. 8, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We propose, with the consent of your Honorable Body,
that the Joint Committee appointed in regard to the State
Tobacco Warehouses, shall have leave of absence after the ad-
journmeut of the House to-morrow, until Wednesday next.

Mr. Neilson, from the Committee on Immigration, to which
had been re-committed the bill, entitled an act, to repeal sec-
tions 5) 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, of chapter 37, of the Acts
of Assembly, of January session, 1866, entitled an Act, to
encourage and facilitate immigration to the State of Mary-
land, and enact other sections in the place of the sections so
repealed,
Reported said bill favorably without amendment.
