The Speaker announced that the hour had arrived for
taking up the order of the day.

The House then took up for consideration, the bill, entitled
an Act, authorizing the Baltimore City Passenger Railway
Company to run their cars on Sunday; which,

On motion of Mr. Neilson,
Was postponed until Monday next.

The House then took up for consideration the second order
of the day, being the Majority and Minority reports of the
Committee on Elections) 6n the right of the sitting members
to a seat in this House.

Pending the consideration of which,

The hour for adjournment (as per order passed this morn-
ing) having arrived,

Mr. Burche moved to reconsider the vote by which the or-
der was adopted.

Mr. Phelps called for the yeas and nays,
Which was not concurred in.

The question then recurring upon the motion of Mr.
Burche,

It was decided in the negative,

And the House took a recess until 71/2 o'clock this A. M.

FRIDAY, Feb. 8, 7 1/2 o'clock, P. M.

The House met.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Miller,(Speaker,) Morgan, Beck, Clarke, Cameron,
Ford, Shipley, Parsons, Phelps, Kerr, Evans, Lindsey,
Rouzer, Buhrman, Baker, Linthicum, Gorsuch,Steiner, Barn-
ford, Appleman, Hoffhine, Bishop, Hutton,Burche,Neilson,
Flaherty, Robson, Hooper, Kraft, Feig, Pitts, Gordy, Nelson,
Whiteford, Wilson, Spicer, Gilpin, McCulley, Haller, Bruce,
McCulloh, Neale, Benton, Poole, Horsey, King, Ham-
mond—44.

The House resumed the consideration of the Order of the
Day, being the Majority and Minority Reports of the Com-
mittee on Elections upon the right of the Sitting Members
from Allegany county to a seat in this House;
