the President of the Baltimoteand Potomac Railroad Compa-
ny to the memorial of the President and Directors of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company;

Internal Improvements.

Mr. Morgan presented the petition of A.. Jackson Spalding
and 24 other citizens of Saint Mary's county, praying for
some change or modification in the License Laws of this

State;

Which was read and referred to the Committee en Ways
and Means.

Mr. Israel presented the memorial of sundry citizens of
Baltimore asking a modification of the Sunday Law ;

Which was read and referred to the Special Committee on
Sunday Law.

Mr. Hammond presented the petition of S. K. Dashiell
and others praying an appropriation of $800 for School pur-
poses in Howard county; .

Which was read and referred to; the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Parsons presented the petition of Messrs. Bell and
Powell, praying payment for subsistence furnished drafted
men in the year 1862;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims,

Mr. Hooper offered the following :

Ordered that the officers of the House be supplied by the
Librarian with copies of the Code and supplements;
Which was not adopted.

On motion; of Mr. Kraft,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Baltimore Permanent Building
and Land Company.

On motion of Mr. Lindsey,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of this House,
