FRIDAY, Feb. 8, 1867.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Hammond.

Present at the call of the roll the following Members :

Messrs. Miller, Speaker, Morgan, Beck, Welch, Hall,
Clarke, Cameron, Hutchins, Ford, Shipley, Nicolai, Davis,
of Charles, Thomas, DennisJ Parsons, Phelps, Kerr, Evans,
Lindsey, Calvert, Rouzer, Buhrman, Baker, Linthicum, Gor-
such, Steiner, Bamford, Appleman, Hoffhine, Bishop, Hutton,
Burche, Turner, Coleman, Neilson, Smith, Robson, Hooper,
Lankford, Kraft, Thomson, Feig, Pitts, Gordy, Nelson,
Whiteford, Wilson, Spicer, Gilpin, McOulley, Haller, Brace,
McCulloh, Carmichael, Neale, Benton, Poole, Dawson, Hor-
sey, King, Hammond—61.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.
On motion of Mr. Phelps,

The Committee on the Library were excused from attend-
ance on the Session of the House, from eleven o'clock to-day,
to meet the Committee on the part of the Senate.

Mr. Clarke presented the petition of John Biggar, and
fifty other citizens, praying the passage of a law to prevent
Stock from running at large in Baltimore county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Nelson presented the petition of the Trustees of the
West Liberty M. E. church. «

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Magrader presented the. memorial of John D. Bow-
ling, M. J. Stone and 37 other citizens of Prince George's
county, against the repeal of the charter of the Baltimore
and Potomac Railroad;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Neilson presented a memorial of the Citizens of District
No. 1, Washington county, against the passage of a bill pro-
hibiting the sale of liquors within said District;

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Hammond presented the petition of 80 citizens of Bal-
timore, Anne Arundel and Howard counties, praying for
proper facilities for weighing Hay in the City of Baltimore;

Also, presented the petition of sundry citizens of this State,
