On motion of Mr. Knott, (the rules being suspended)

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill, entitled an Act, to incorporate "The Congre-
gation of the Mission of Saint Vincent de Paul, of the city of
Baltimore."

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill, entitled an Act, to add additional sections to
Article 45, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
"husband and wife," and to define the rights and liabilities
of married women as tenants for term of years.

Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of Committee on Judiciary,
(the rules being yet further suspended) reported favorably the
bill, entitled an Act, to authorize certain conscientious per-
sons their lawful avocations on Sunday within their own
premises ;

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Nicolai, Chairman of Committee on Corporations, (the
rules being yet further suspended) reported favorably a bill,
entitled an Act, to incorporate the Home Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,

The House took up for consideration, the bill, entitled an
Act, to repeal Article 63, Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Militia, and Sections 652 to 770, both inclusive,
of Article four, Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Mili-
tia, in the city of Baltimore, and to re-enact said Article 63,
with amendments, when,

On motion of Mr. Boswell.

The vote by which sub-section 15 was stricken out,
Was reconsidered.
Mr. Neilson proposed the following :

Sub-section 15, strikeout all after the word "Guard," in
9th line,

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

A call of the House was ordered, and the following mem-
