Mr. Magruder submitted the following ;

Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, to appoint a Joint Committe, to consist of four
members from this House and two from the Senate., to pro-
ceed to the city of Baltimore, for the purpose of making a
thorough investigation into the affairs and condition of the
State Tobacco Warehouses, and to report to this General As-
sembly such legislation in reference thereto as may be neces-
sary.
