eight of chapter 24, passed at December session, 1835, enti-
tled, an Act to authorize William Krebs, Richard Linthicum
and William Linthicum to build a bridge over Gwynn's
Falls, at or near where the present bridge stands, known as
the Long Bridge, and to enact substitutes therefor ;

Which were read the first time.

Also, favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to amend the
Act of 1860, chapter 257, entitled, an additional supplement
to the Act entitled an Act incorporating the Master and War-
dens of Clinton Lodge No. 83, of the Free and Accepted
Masons ;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Bixler, from the Committee on Inspections, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to amend the 477th section
of Article 4th of the Code of Public Local Laws entitled,
Lumber ;

Which was read the first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following Senate
bills:

A bill entitled, an Act to assist the President and Mana-
gers of the Maryland Disabled Soldiers' Home to procure a
building suitable to an enlarged exercise of their charitable
purposes;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the -Trustees of the
Methodist Protestant Sunday School of Chestertown, and to
authorize them to hold real and personal estate ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the Trus-
tees of the Parsonage property in Chestertown, of the Meth-
odist Protestant Church, or Kent Circuit, to sell and convey
certain real estate in said town.

A bill entitled, an Act to change the name of Benjamin
Edes Long;

Which were read the first time and referred the Committee
on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled, an? Act to incorporate the Westminster Gas
Light Company ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Claims, reported back
to the House, unfavorably the petition of Philip Pendleton,
