The said bill having been read a second time, was ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Carmichael, from the Committee on Judiciary, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 29th sec-
tion of Article 5 of the Code of Public Laws relating to ap-
peals, and to re-enact the same with an amendment.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to change the name of Rich-
ard Dodson, of the city of Baltimore, to Richard Stearns
Dodson.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the bequest of
Catherine Seif, late of Baltimore city, to the Second German
Evangelical Lutheran Church of the city of Baltimore.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 17 of Article
63 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, Landlord
and Tenant, and to re-enact the same with amendments ;

Which were read the first time.

Also, unfavorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
5 and sub-section 2 of chapter 109, passed January session,
1864, relating to the competency of witnesses;

Which had been referred to said committee pending its
second reading.

The said bill being on its second reading,

Mr. Williams moved to strike out the enacting clause of
the bill.
Decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Jones, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Wrought Iron Pipe and Tube Company;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Boswell, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act entitled a supplement to an
Act passed at January session, 1854, chapter 109, to amend
an Act entitled, an Act to incorporate the Fremont Savings
Institution of Baltimore, by allowing said Institution the
privileges embraced under the Act entitled, an Act to con-
tinue the corporate existence of the several banking institu-
tions therein mentioned, passed at January session, 1853,
chapter 441.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act passed at
January session, 1864, chapter 258, entitled, att Act to incor-
porate a Bank of the aame and style of the Farmers' and
Merchants' Bank of Greensborough.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Freedom Lodge
No. 112, of Ancient Free and.Accepted Masons.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections five, six and
