The question then recurring upon the order offered by Mr.
Neilson,

It was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Ordered, That the use of the Hall of this House be granted
to O. P. Baldwin, Esq., on next Thursday evening, for the
purpose of delivering a lecture on "War, considered as a
Science."

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Ordered, That the officers of this House do not forfeit
their per diem when they are prevented from discharging
their duty by sickness.

Mr. Smith, (the Rules being suspended), presented a peti-
tion from sundry citizens of the city of Baltimore, against
the repeal of the Sunday Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Sunday
Law.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,

Ordered, That when this House adjourns, it adjourn until
this evening at 8 o'clock; the evening session to be devoted
exclusively to the consideration of bills on their third reading.

On motion of Mr. Gorsuch,

Ordered, That the Treasurer of the State report to this
House, without delay, whether at any time he invested any
of the funds of the State in United States securities of any
kind, and if so, how much of each, at what time the invest-
ments were made, and whether they have been disposed of;
and, if so, what premium they commanded, (if any), when
sold, and what interest was received on them in coin, and
whether he accounted for the same in coin or currency, to the
State.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following Senate

bills :

A bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact section two
hundred and sixty-eight of article ninety-three of Public
General Laws relating to Registers of Wills '.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the St. George's
Society of Baltimore;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations

A hill entitled, an Act incorporating the Andrew Small
Academy of Darnestown, Montgomery county, Maryland;
