line county, relating to the Circuit Court for said county, and
to re-enact the same;
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal Article 80 of the Code
of Public General Laws entitled, "State Reporter," and re-
enacting the same with amendments;"
Also, the bill entitled an Act, to authorize Nicholas Ham-
mond, administrator of Nicholas H. Green, late Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Anne Arundel county, to complete the un-
finished records and business in said office, and to collect the
fees due to said Green.
Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Nicolai, chairman Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably without amendments, a bill, entitled an
Act, to continue the charter of the Canton Company of Balti-
more,
Which was read a second time.
Also, a bill entitled an Act, to incorporate the Harford
Fire Insurance-Company of Baltimore city ;
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Carmichael, chairman Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported unfavorably a bill, entitled an Act, supplementary to
an Act to repeal the 10th section of Article 11, of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to attorneys, and to enact a
aubstitute therefore;
Also, a bill, entitled an Act, to add new sections to Arti-
cle 28 of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to costs,
to come in after section 9 in said Article ;
Also, a bill, entitled an Act, to repeal Chapter 131, passed
March 18, 1865, entitled an Act, to repeal the 9th Section of
Article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
fees of officers, and to enact a substitute therefor ;
Which were severally read a first time.
Also a bill entitled an Act to amend Sections 74 and 75, of
article 75, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
Pleadings, Practice and Process, and to add a new Section to
said Article, so as to better provide for the removal of causes,
Which was read a second time
Also, unfavorably upon the petition of Dauiel Sparklin
and other citizens of Caroline county, praying that John
Rumbald, a minor, of said county, may be allowed to take
possession of property inherited.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai, (the rules being suspended)
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the German Savings Bank of Mary-
land.
