The Joint Committee on Printing respectfully report that
they have contracted with H. M. Murray, for indexing, ar-
ranging, &c., the laws of the present session of the General
Assembly for the sum of two hundred dollars, to be paid him
when the work is completed.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Carmichael, chairman of the Committee on the Judici-
ary, reported favorably without amendments, the Senate bill
entitled, an Act, to repeal an Act passed at the January Ses-
sion of the General Assembly, in the year 1867, entitled, an
Act to repeal the 4, 7, 15, 16, and 20 sections of the 4th Ar-
ticle of the Public Local Laws of the city of Baltimore, rela-
tive to the qualification of Electors in said city and regulating
the time for holding Elections for Mayor and Members of the
City Council, and the terms of, and the time for entering upon
the duties of said officers, and to re-enact the same with amed-
ments;

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Jones moved a suspension of the rules, to order the
bill to a third reading;

Which was decided in the negative.

Also, the Senate bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of
1862, chapter 106, and sections 194, to two hundred inclusive
of the 30th Article of the Code of Public General Laws relat-
ing to the sentence of negroes;

Which was read a second time.

Also, made a favorably report upon a House bill to relieve
the security of Philip,Drum of New Orleans;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act prohibiting the sale of spiritu-
ous or fermented liquors in the several counties of the State
on the day of Elections contained in chapter 191, January
Session 1865,) and re-enact the same, to read as follows:

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate an additional
sum of money for the more speedy publication of vols. 23, and
24 of the Maryland Reports;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to provide for the selection and
drawing and summoning of Juries in the several counties and
prescribing their qualification;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act passed at
January Session 1866, entitled, an Act to repeal the 43rd and
