The bill Entitled an act to add a new Section to Article 38,
of the Codei of Public General Laws, and to repeal certain
sections of the Code of Public Local Laws,

Being upon its second reading;

Mr. Williams proposed the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add a new section as section 4; "Section 4. And be it
enacted that the provisions of this Act shall not apply to
Baltimore county;"

Which was adopted.

And; the bill as amended was read a second time and order-
ed to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill.entitled an act to continue in force an Act entitled
an Act to regulate and make uniform the fees of Constables,
passed January session 1865, chapter sixty-seven.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to continue in force an Act entiled
an Act to regulate and make uniform the fees of Justices of
the Peace, passed at January session 1865, chapter 79,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate and protect the
Pocomoke Marine Railway Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to exempt the German Baptists of
Washington county, from serving on Juries ;

Being upon its second reading,

On motion of Mr. King,
The enacting clause was striken out.

The bill entitled an Act to revive and continue in force the
Act of 1854, chapter 60, entitled an Act to incorporate a so-
ciety in Washington county, to be styled the "Agricultural
and Mechanical Association of Washington county,"

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading

The bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act, passed by the
General Assembly of Maryland, January session, 1866, enti-
tled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Land and Emigra-
tion Company;

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
