On motion of Mr. Thomas,

The consideration of the resolutions were informally post-
poned.

Mr. Knott from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
reported favorably the bill entitled, an Act to secure the com-
pletion of the Dorchester and Delaware Railroad; which

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Nicolai, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Towsontown Saving's Institution;

Also, a bill entitled, aa Act to authorize the Baltimore
Steam Packet Company to issue bonds and increase their cap-
ital stock to the amount of their expenditures;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Fertilizing and Manufacturing Company;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to enlarge and confirm the
powers and authority of Saint Mary's Industrial School for
boys of the city of Baltimore, incorporated under the General
provisions of the 26th article of the Code;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Slate Company;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Frostburg
Hotel Company;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Thomas, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably the bill entitled, an Act to extend
the provisions of the Act of January Session, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-five, for the relief of certain parties, for pay-
ment therein mentioned;

Which was read the second time.

Also, reported unfavorably upon the memorial of the
Young Men's Christian Association of Baltimore city, asking
for relief;

The report was adopted.

Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to amend sec-
tion 227 of article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, as
repealed and re-enacted by an Act entitled, an Act to repeal
section 227 of article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to elections in Baltimore city, and to re-enact the
same with amendments, passed January 30th, 1867;

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be laid
over informally.

On motion of Mr. Burche,
