81 of the Code of Public General Laws, title Revenue and
Taxes, relating to the assessment of slaves.

Mr. Stirling, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire
Insurance Company of Somerset and Worcester counties.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to make valid deeds
executed and acknowledged since the first day of November,
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, before Justices of the Peace
in any county in this State, where the grantors resided or
lands situated ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 6,
of the 81st Article of the Code of Public General Laws, title
revenue and taxes, relating to the assessment and valuation
of slaves;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to alter and
change the name of George Ferdinand Taylor, to that of
George Washington Taylor;

Reported it without amendment, and
The bill was read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings,Jreported favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to make valid
certain bequests under the will of Eleanor G. Scott, late of
Baltimore city, deceased;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Bowie, from the Select Committee, reported a bill en-
titled, an Act to regulate the means of egress from Public
Buildings;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Tome, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to add a new section to Article 8, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, relating to the powers of the President
and Commissioners of the village of Port Deposit;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spates, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to incorporate the Allegany land Company;
Which was read the first time.
