Which was read and referred to the Allegany County
delegation.

Mr. Hall presented the petition of one hundred citizens of
Anne Arundel county, praying the passage of a law to pre*
veat the dredging for oysters on Holland's point bar in Anne
Arundel county;

Also, the petition of sundry citizens of Anne Arnndel
county, praying for the passage of a law, relating to the mark-
ing of stock in the 4th Election District of Anne Arundel
county;

Which were read and referred to the Anne Arundel and
Calveri county Delegations.

Mr. Nicolai presented a petition of St. Mary's Industrial
School for boys of the city of Baltimore;

Which was read and referred to Committee on Corpora-
tions.

Mr. Benton presented a petition of thirty-one citizens of
New Windsor in Carroll county, asking a renewal of their
charter as passed at December Session, 1843, chapter 47, re-
pealing section 14, and adding an additional section in lieu
thereof;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Williams presented a memorial of Josiah H. Gordon,
asking compensation for services rendered by one of a Select
Committed on the Library;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Hathmond presented a petition of sundry citizens of
Carroll codnty, shewing that it is with great difficulty and
inconvenience, that they can reach the seat of justice in their,
county, and praying that the part of it in which they reside
may be made a part of Frederick county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Ford offered the following .

Ordered, That daily sessions of this House shall hereafter
meet at 10 o'clock, A. M., and adjourn at 2 P. M., except
on Monday's, when the House-shall meet at 12 M.

Mr. Smith proposed the following amendment:
Amend, by striking out .10 o'clock and insert 11 o'clock,
