and thereupon to proceed to hold said term or terms in the
same manner and with the same effect as if the said term or
terms had been held on the days now fixed by law, and fhe
Gramd and Petit juries so to be selected and summoned, shall
be taken to all intent! and purposes, to be the proper and
lawful Grand and Petit juries, as fully as if the same had
been selected and summoned prior to the regular day of hold-
ing the term or terms of said courts."
Which was adopted.
The bill as amended was then read a second time.

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the Baltimore As-
sociation for the moral and educational improvement of the
colored people;

county, relative to Fence Laws, in certain election districts of
