On motion of Mr. Parsons,
Leave was granted the Somerset county delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an Act to repeal and re-enact the Act en-
titled, an Act to revive the Act of incorporation of the town
of Salisbury, in Somerset andWorcester counties, and to add
additional sections thereto ratifying and confirming certain
acts of the Commissioners of said town, and for other purposes.
Also, Leave was granted the Somerset county delegation
to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to incprporate Newton
Lodge No. 56, I. O. O. F., in the town of Salisbury.
Mr. Clarke, from the Committee on Claims, reported favor-
ably the bill entitled, an Act to pay A. Lingan Garrett, the
balance of his salary, as late Comptroller of the Treasury;
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Davis, of Charles, from the Committee on Registra-
tion, reported favorably the Senate bill entitled, an Act to
provide for correcting the list of qualified voters, by adding
thereto names of citizens of this State, who have been restor-
ed to their full rights of citizenship by an Act of the General
Assembly, and for amending the Article of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws entitled, Registration, by adding thereto
the following sections;

Mr. Carmichael reported favorably, without amendment,
the Senate bill entitled, an Act granting the assent of the
Legislature to a legacy bequeated by codicil to the last will
and testament of Charlotte E. Graham, late of Cecil county,
deceased, to the Trustees of Zion church, at Cecilton, in said
county;
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Carmichael from the Committee on the Judiciary, report-
ed favorably a bill entitled, an Act to change the name of W.
H. 0. Oldson to Henry Oldson Palmer.
Mr. Parsons, from the Committee on Roads and Highways,
reported favorably a bill entited, an Act to add two additional
sections to the Code of Public General Laws, entitled, "crimes
and punishments, relating to funerals."
On motion of Mr. Smith,
The rules being suspended;
Leave was granted to Messrs. Boswell, Israel and Thomas,
to report a bill entitled, an Act to amend section 227 of Ar-
ticle 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws as repealed and re-
enacted by an Act passed January 30, 1867, entitled, an Act
to repeal section 227 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to elections in Baltimore city, and to re-enact
the same with amendments. *
