On motion of Mr. Mules,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill, to incorporate the Travelers Life and Accident In-
surance Company of Baltimore.
Leave was granted to Mr. Vickers, to withdraw from the
files of the Senate, the following bills: an Act to incorporate
the Chesapeake Life Insurance Company; an Act to incorpo-
rate the Chestertown Water Company; an Act to authorize
Thomas J. White and others of Howard county, to convey
certain lands to Joseph Bewley and others; an Act to amend
the Act of 1865, chapter 257, entitled an additional supple-
ment to the Act entitled an Act incorporating the Master
and Wardens of Clinton Lodge, No. 83, of Free and Accepted
Masons; an Act to incorporate the Village of the Head of Sas-
safrass, in Kent county; an Act to amend an Act passed at
January Session 1865, chapter 8, entitled an Act to enable
Ruth & Co., of Chestertown, Maryland, to occupy a portion
of the public land on High Street in said Town; an Act to
repeal sections one, two, three, four, five, six, nine, eleven
and eighteen, of an Act entitled an Act relating to the Regis-
tration of Voters of the State, chapter 174, passed at January
Session 1865, and to re-enact the same with amendments; an
Act to restore to the full rights of citizenship all persons dis-
qualified by the 4th section of Article 1, of the Constitution,
from voting and from holding any office of honor, profit or
trust, under the laws of the State.
On motion of Stephenson, it was
Ordered, Thai the Secretary of the Senate procure a suit-
able desk or case for the reception and security of all mail
matter belonging to the Senate.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to make valid certain Indentures of
Apprenticeship.
On motion of Mr. Ohr,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 2 of Article 87, of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Dogs and Sheep.
