Also, a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Chrome Works.

Also, a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
yearly meeting of the Society of Friends, held on Lombard
street in the city of Baltimore.

Also, a bill entitled an Act incorporating the Principio
Manufacturing Company ;

Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Whiteford,

Moved a reconsideration of the vote taken on yesterday, by
which the order was adopted to print 20,000 copies of the
Report of the Superintendent of Public Schools.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1862, chapter
10G, and sections from 194 to 200 inclusive, of the 30th ar-
ticle of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the
sentence of negroes ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, being

A bill entitled an Act to frame a new Constitution and
form of Government for the State of Maryland, the question
being upon the amendment of Mr. Linthicum to the amend-
ment proposed by Mr. Knott, viz : that each county in the
State, and the city of Baltimore, shall be entitled to the same
number of delegates in said Convention as they now have in
the Senate and House of Delegates.

Mr. Burche, moved to postpone the order of the day ten
minutes.

Mr. Boswell proposed to amend the amendment by postpon-
ing it twenty minutes,

Which on motion of Mr. Phelps,
Was laid on the table.

The House then resumed the consideration of the order of
the day, pending which,

On motion of Mr. Ford,
The House adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock.
