of the Committee on Immigration, in compliance with the
order on that subject passed yesterday: Messrs.|Carmichael
and Dennis, making the Standing Committee thus . Messrs.
Neilson, Williams, Calvert, Boswell, Buhrman, Carmichael
and Dennis.

The Speaker also appointed Mr. Gordy on the Committee
on Engrossed Bills and Resolutions, in the place of Mr.
Aydelott, excused.

On motion of Mr. Knott,

Ordered, That the use of the hall of the House of Dele-
gates be granted to the Public School Teachers Association
of the State of Maryland, for the purpose of holding a meet-
ing of the Association during the second week in July,
1867.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Ordered, That the use of this hall be granted to the Rev.
C. K. Nelson, on Wednesday evening, the 30th inst., for the
purpose of a lecture on Female Education.

On motion of Mr. Williams,

Ordered, That the Committee on Ways and Means be
requested to inquire into the propriety of reducing the pres-
ent rate of taxes and have leave to report a bill, it, in their
opinion, said reduction can be made.

On motion of Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill making valid a deed from Benjamin Todd and
wife to Benjamin H. Todd and Jesse E. Todd, to certain
lands in Frederick county, Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted Committee on Judiciary to introduce a
bill to repeal sections 151, 152, 153, 154, of Article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws entitled, "Coroners," and enact
other sections in lieu thereof.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Neilson, Gore, King, Wil-
liams and Appleman to present a bill entitled, an Act for
the relief of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Mas .is
of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted the Frederick County delegatii n to
introduce a bill enacting a supplement t,o Article eleven of
the Code of Public Local Laws relating to the city of Fred-
erick, Frederick county, and to add new sections thereto, to
following section 147.
